It was awesome! but dont take our word for it, this is what a few of our scouts had to say-
This August I went to the Kent International Jamboree with the scouts. KIJ welcomes 7,000 scouts and leaders from all over the world for a week-long camp. The week is full of adventures, meeting new people and coming out of your comfort zone. Knowing this only happens every 4 years made us want to get involved in lots more because it could be our first and last with the scouts. This year we were in forest (the best sub camp) which one night had a silent disco only a few of us got in because it was the last 30 minutes but that was definitely a highlight of my week with singing to all of our favourite songs. The last night made me realise how lucky we were to be able to go and all the memories i had made which will say with me forever. Thank you so much to Rob Claire and George and everyone else in the back round for making it happen. We really appreciate everything you have done and for looking after all 23 with not to many injuries thank you again. - Clemmie bateman
I have just got back from the Kent International Jamboree scout camp, Things I did include rock climbing and abseiling and I had plenty of free time to enjoy the amusement park, go to the food court, and go rollerskating. It was a really fun week overall, and in the evenings there was a big main stage and I saw the band Scouting for Girls play live and I met scouts and guides from lots of different countries including Kenya, Luxembourg and Prague in the Cheque republic. The Scouts did an amazing job of getting stuck in a really did achieve skills for life. A massive thank you to the Scout Leadership team for helping the Scouts to raise the funds to attend and then taken them to Kent International Jamboree.
